- Graffiti -
Over the years Graffiti has been an argument.
Is it good or bad? Today I will explain both sides of the story.
What is graffiti?
It is simply when someone sprays paint onto someone else's property it can be looked upon as ‘art’ or ‘a mess’.
Let me explain the history.
The first graffiti may not be called ‘Graffiti’ but more ‘painting on walls’. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, cavemen would paint on the walls of caves they lived in. They would paint animals and themselves, they used animal blood, stones, mud and more.
Is graffiti a mess or a art?
Art side:
Imagine you have an amazing talent and that talent was to spray paint the only place big enough was walls. It is illegal, you had to break the law to do what you loved.
Graffiti is beautiful, lovely bright colors and amazing shapes, it takes more skill than you think.
My points:
- Some people have to break the law to do what they love.
- It is beautiful and on plain concret it makes the wall so much more interesting.
- It takes more skill than you than you think.
Mess side:
Imagine this, you just got a new fence last week, one morning you go outside and someone has done an ugly big tag all over it. Although you’re old, you have to bend down and spend hours trying to get it off.
My points:
- People do not have the right to draw on others property.
- It takes a long time to get off.
Who does it?
Lots of kinds of people do graffiti, some people join gangs and thing it is cool and funny to write on other people's property, some people are very good and do it because they love it and some people are just bored.
A good solution:
I think the government should make big walls that are for graffiti artists, the walls do not belong to anyone and every once in awhile, they get repainted so graffiti artists can do more works.
Over all:
Graffiti can be good or bad, so when you see some graffiti don’t always think it's ‘Art’ or ‘a mess’ think from both sides of the story.
